Lifelong Learning
Accreditation of courses and programmes of in-house training and development
of worked-based learning
Learning Environment
Business education can take place formally in the lecture hall or classroom; or less formally in conferences and meeting rooms or within the work place. Wherever this learning takes place ECBE is concerned with the continuous improvement of the learning experience.
All education is a part of LLL. Programmes developed and supported by the EU are all part of the promotion of LLL throughout Europe to encourage all ages to participate in developing their knowledge and skills both for the improvement of society and for self-esteem.
Accreditation
ECBE has developed an accredited programme for quality business training and development courses, provided by institutions, independent commercial training organisations, or internally by companies and organisations.
This accreditation requires a self-evaluation which addresses both learning inputs and outcomes. Documentation submitted to evaluators will address how the learning is assessed and how the quality is maintain and enhanced.
Certification
Certificates will be awarded to all participants of LLL programmes earning accreditation. If the accredited programme(s) is also awarded ECTS credits at a European defined “learning level” then both the number of credits and the leaning level will be clearly defined on the certificate, allowing recognition and acceptance throughout the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)
