Jan Lojda

MatthewKitching 400Jan Lojda is from the Czech Republic. He graduated at Brno University of Technology in 1974. After a two-year practice he joined the BUT as an assistant, gradually got his PhD, and became an Associate Professor. In 1994 he graduated from the MBA at Nottingham Trent University. In the 1990s, Jan worked 6 years for the German university FernUni in Hagen and he was a member of the EDEN and EADTU Steering Committees. Since 1998, he has been chairman of the Czech Association of Distance Teaching Universities and in 1994 he founded his own private company (International Marketing Brno Domicilium), which finished in 2014. Jan worked on 23 EU projects, has been the author of 58 publications and participated at 81 international conferences. His hobbies include history and vintage cars. He has been cooperating with the ECBE since 2009.
